Description
Wakamusya, the young warrior, is where the range turns from daily habit to something you slow down for.
Depending on the season it’s made from Okumidori or Haruto, two cultivars the farm grows for fragrance. Okumidori is a late-budding variety prized for its deep green liquor and rounded taste; Haruto leans fresh and aromatic. Either way the result is a gyokuro that leads with its nose: pour it and the room knows.
In the mouth it sits between Sasahime’s savoury weight and Chameijin’s sweetness, balanced enough that it’s become the quiet favourite of people who’ve worked through the whole range. Brew it at 60 degrees and give it the full two minutes. The 50g pack makes 25 to 37 cups.
How to Brew
You can reuse the same tea leaves 2-3 times. On the second and third brew, steep for only 30 seconds. This ratio is just a guide, please adjust the amount of tea and water to your taste!
A 50g pack can make between 25 and 37 cups of tea!

What is Gyokuro Tea?
Gyokuro is admired as the highest grade of Japanese green tea. The name “gyokuro” translates as “jade dew” in reference to the bright green colour in the cup. It differs from the standard sencha (a classic unshaded green tea) in being grown under the shade rather than the full sun. Shading causes both the amino acid theanine and the alkaloid caffeine in the tea leaves to increase, which yields a sweet flavour.
